Student Visit Day

What is the Student Visit Day?

Selecting a school for your child is one of the most important decisions parents have to make and must continually make throughout the growth of their child, as the school(s) they select throughout their child’s education must complement their own values while providing families with the assurances that their children are safe and in the right care. The Student Visit Days at La Citadelle offers families the unique opportunity to have their child(ren) spend the full day in classes with our students so that they can gain a better understanding of the process, content and most importantly the holistic environment offered at La Citadelle.

Who can attend?

La Citadelle enrolls students from Prep-K to Grade 12. Due to the particular care and enrollment restrictions at the kindergarten levels, the Student Visit Days are only open to students currently in Grades 3 to 11.

At La Citadelle, Wednesdays are not only No Homework Days but also Activity Days in which all students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 participate in various clubs. This cross-level period offer our students the opportunity to take part in activities that are geared to developing our internal student community and spirit through structured activities that are not based on academics. Visiting students will be allowed to sign up for any of the activities allowable to their age group and will participate in the activity.

Absolutely nothing! This is an opportunity for prospective students to see for themselves what life would be like as a La Citadelle student.

You can sign up by downloading the Visiting Student Information Form and e-mail it to For safety and security please ensure that all allergies are listed and contact information are clearly printed.

How do I prepare for my Student Visit Day?

As students will be joining the regularly scheduled day, we recommend students bring a change of clothes that can be worn for both gym class and club purposes. Students must also bring a lunch and snacks all containing foods that are nut free and clearly labeled as such. Coats, outdoor shoes and any other protective wear are also recommended for outdoor recesses.

The Student Visit Days are also wonderful opportunities for students to ask questions to our staff and students about our school. We encourage students to have some questions they feel are important to them, ready so that we as a community may be able to address them.

The Student Visit Day is geared specifically for students that may become members of our La Citadelle community and we would like them to have the opportunities to discover our school from their own perspective. For this reason, we encourage parents to let their children experience this day from their own perspective and invite parents to meet with us with regards to their own inquiries.
