
Procedures
Enrolment at La Citadelle is contingent upon space availability and all new applicants will be placed in priority sequence based on the date of submission of the completed application package.
New applications for siblings of currently attending La Citadelle students and/or prospective applicants referred by existing La Citadelle Families will be given priority in terms of space availability.
We are pleased to also advise that families interested in the 2026-2027 and/or 2027-2028 academic years, that pre-registration is currently open, and as such they may initiate the application for admission process in order to reserve their child(ren) space(s).
Step 1 – Submission of Application Package
For families applying to for our 2026-2027 and/or 2027-2028 academic year, complete the online Application for Admission Form and upload following documents for each applicant:
- Student Head shot (current photo)
- Proof of Age (birth certificate or passport)
- Immunization Record
- Copy of Health Card
- Three Most Recent Report Cards (two end-of-year report and one mid-year report)
- Transcript – Required for Secondary School students applying to Grades 10 to 12
- English Proficiency – Required for all International students (TOEFL, IELTS or TOEIC)
Additional documents such as referral letters may be requested.
Step 2 – Submission of Questionnaires
Upon submitting the application form you will receive a link to our Parent/Student Questionnaire:

Parent Questionnaire, must be completed by a parent or guardian for each applicant. It is an essential part of the admissions process, offering valuable insight into the student’s background, strengths, goals, and the family’s values.

Student Questionnaire will also be included for families applying to Grade 3 to Level IV (Grade 12). This form allows students to share, in their own words, their learning experiences, interests, and perspectives, helping us get to know them better as individuals.
Step 3 – Assessments & Interviews
SK to Grade 5
Applicants in SK to Grade 5 are required to attend a one-day in-class visit. This visit allows teachers to observe the student’s learning style, social interaction, and readiness for the grade level.
Grade 6 to Level III (Grade 11)
Applicants for Grades 6 to 11 are required to complete a written morning assessment followed by interviews. These assessments help determine academic readiness and support appropriate placement.
Headmaster’s Scholarship Consideration
Based on the results of the Grade 6 to Level III assessment, the school will also review each student’s performance for eligibility for the Headmaster’s Scholarship.
Candidates who qualify will be notified at the time of admission.
International Applicants
For international families, all visits, assessments, and interviews are conducted virtually, with scheduling adjusted for their time zone.
Admission & Enrolment
Admission Decisions
Following the completion of all required assessments and interviews, families will receive an official admission decision from the school. Admission decisions are based on the student’s overall profile, including academic readiness, school fit, and space availability.
Acceptance & Enrolment
Families of accepted students will receive an Offer of Admission outlining next steps, required documents, and important deadlines.
To secure the student’s place, parents must submit:

The signed enrolment agreement

The non-refundable admission fee & tuition deposit

Any additional forms requested by the school
Enrolment is confirmed once all documents and the deposit have been received.
Wait-List
Qualified applicants may be placed on a wait-list when spaces are not immediately available. Families will be notified if a place opens.

Once enrolment is confirmed, families will receive key information to help them prepare for the upcoming school year. This includes:

Uniform fitting dates and guidelines

Important reminders and start-up requirements
Most of this information will be shared during the final term of the current school year, allowing families ample time to prepare.
First Official Communication for the 2026–2027 School Year
Families should be aware that the first official communication specific to the 2026–2027 academic year will be sent in August 2026.
This communication will provide all essential details for a smooth transition into the new school year, including orientation information, schedules, and any final updates.
