La Citadelle International Academy of Arts & Science proudly offers the Advanced Placement (AP) and Pre-AP programs, aligning with our philosophy of delivering an academically enriched and in-depth curriculum that prepares students for both university and the world beyond. As a recognized College Board school, we provide motivated students with the opportunity to engage in university-level coursework while still in high school, allowing them to earn potential university credits and gain a significant advantage in their academic journey. The AP program at La Citadelle begins with Pre-AP courses in Grades 9 and 10, followed by specialized AP courses in Grades 11 and 12, including Calculus AP, Chemistry AP, English Literature & Composition AP, Physics AP, and Psychology AP. Students enrolled in these courses will follow the AP curriculum content, and they will have the option to elect to take the AP exam, potentially earning university credit based on their performance.

This structure is a natural extension of our rigorous secondary school curriculum, which emphasizes critical thinking, advanced problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning. The AP program enhances our mission to cultivate well-rounded global citizens who are intellectually curious, resilient, and prepared for the challenges of higher education. By integrating AP coursework into our Secondary Panel, we offer students an elevated academic experience that mirrors the expectations they will face in university.
