What is it like to be a student at La Citadelle?
We would like to say that students at La Citadelle are kind, generous, charismatic, unique, and talented.
Field trips, student exchanges, dances, Student Council activities and clubs are a few of the elements that create student life. After all, according to our holistic educational approach, student learning is not limited to classroom walls.
A proper balance of Arts and Sciences is what composes the La Citadelle curriculum, from annual Arts, Technology, and Science fairs, to annual mathematics competitions and holiday galas.
Leadership is encouraged at all levels; La Citadelle is situated within a unique environment where older students often create, promote and supervise activities for younger students. At each step of the way, students learn to improvise, nurture, and guide their peers while simultaneously excelling in their academic studies.
La Citadelle provides plenty of opportunities to showcase skills learned in the classroom through: Leadership Camps beginning in Grade 4, skiing trips, IB field trips, Student Council events, competitions, clubs, community service, and optional trips.
Individual support for our students is important at La Citadelle. Our Guidance Department, faculty members and staff are always on hand to provide support. Working closely with faculty and administrators, we all seek to ensure that students are happy, healthy, and inspired. By the time students graduate from La Citadelle, they are ready to excel at any challenge that they come across.
