At La Citadelle, our Preschool Program, known as the Daycare Panel, offers a highly engaging, interactive play-based and communication centered learning environment that nurtures a lifelong love of discovery in every child. This division consists of two combined grades—Prep-Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten—and provides a strong foundation for early childhood development. Our program fosters the joy of discovery, encouraging excitement for learning, exploration, and the development of key skills that are essential for daycare-aged children.
With a curriculum rooted in early childhood development, our preschool engages children in learning through hands-on activities in math, writing, science, music & movement, fitness & nutrition. Whether counting objects in nature, experimenting with creative storytelling, or discovering the basics of science through sensory play, children explore fundamental concepts in a playful, bilingual setting. Music and movement activities, integrated throughout the day, encourage children to express themselves physically while nurturing their creativity and rhythm. Fitness and nutrition also play a vital role in our daily routine, ensuring that children stay active and develop healthy habits early on.
Through structured yet enjoyable activities, children not only develop early language skills and communication abilities but also build their curiosity and critical thinking. Songs, stories, and interactive projects immerse them in the French Language, preparing them for the Kindergarten and Elementary Panels. By incorporating these elements, our approach promotes cognitive, physical, and emotional growth in a safe, nurturing space.
