At La Citadelle, our Daycare Panel is a licensed daycare in the province of Ontario, which is regularly inspected by its Ministry of Education and officially approved to provide high quality early learning and child care services to preschoolers ages 2 to 4 years old and registration is as follows:
- School Year Daycare program from September to June
- Summer Daycare program for 4 weeks every July
La Citadelle Daycare Panel offers a highly engaging program and interactive play-based environment that values children’s learning. In its curriculum approach, based on an understanding of early childhood development, it focuses on supporting children as they develop and on creating caring relationships among children, adults, and families. The Daycare Panel engages children in their learning through exploration, play, and inquiry. Communication and expression are honoured and celebrated to create a sense of inclusion and belonging.
At the Daycare Panel, the curriculum is primarily geared to the foundational acquisition of both the French and English languages, preparing henceforth the children to smoothly embark upon their bilingual educational journey at the Kindergarten Panel of La Citadelle.
Culture and basic learning skills are also emphasized in the daily life of the children and the methodology used in class at these early stages is based on concrete pedagogy so as to ease the transition of the children to the more organized learning setting in place at the Elementary Panel.
